I guess the main questions are: Who is he? and why should I vote for him?
Good questions actually. In fact, in previous local body elections, when I've gone through the candidates I've asked myself the same things.
So what do I bring to the table?
Communication. An ability to communicate. And that is the role.
As Mayor my job is to communicate to the ratepayers, to the global audience, to the media, to the businesses, to the tourists.
Talk, chat, talk. That is a major part of the job and I'm exceptionally good at doing it.
Yes there are a lot of meetings and needing to be in suit mode, but overall as a ratepayer I want a Mayor that is down-to-earth, with an ability to mix at grass roots with the residents of the city.
A perfect example is Sir Tim Shadbolt. His greatest asset is his ability to chat and communicate to everyone. Well, that's also my greatest asset.
So use me to do that. Vote me into office and make me work for you.
